The depreciation schedule shows actual or estimated depreciation against assets in the asset register (only registered are subjected to depreciation). Use this report to check purchase cost, purchase date, opening balance, closing balance and accumulated depreciation to date for all fixed assets. 


This report can be automatically generated and sent out to authorised users using the Report Scheduling feature available to DEAR customers with Automation module subscriptions. See Report Scheduling for more information.

The report can be accessed by users with the Fixed Assets Reporting permission. 


Prerequisite:


Data from this report can be exported in Excel, PDF or RTF format. 


Input:

Reporting PeriodAllow user to select the reporting period from a list of options are set custom a custom date range
LayoutSet to the Default layout. Allows selection of saved layouts, if any. 
Save Layout AsAllows saving of a layout for potential future use.
Reset LayoutResets layout to the default layout or selected saved layout.


Select Apply Filter to set filter fields for the report and Update to refresh the output with any new changes. See Managing DEAR Reports - Filtering Reports for more detailed information about using filters.

RateThe Rate shows the current depreciation rate as a percentage: No Depreciation (ND), Straight Line (SL), Declining Balance (DL), Declining Balance 150% (DB150), Declining Balance 200% (DB200), Sum of the Years' Digits (SYD), Full Depreciation at Purchase (FDP).
Purchase DateThe date when the Fixed Asset was purchased.
Registration DateThe date when the Fixed Asset was registered.
Fixed Asset TypeType of fixed asset
On Hand
The On-Hand column shows the actual current quantity of the Fixed Asset on location.
Salvage ValueThe estimated resale value of an asset at the end of its useful life. Salvage value is subtracted from the cost of a fixed asset to determine the amount of the asset cost that will be depreciated.
Data Header
Purchase Cost Purchase cost of the fixed asset.
Start Balance
Fixed asset value at the start of the reporting period.
DepreciationShows depreciation for the selected period.
Accumulated DepreciationShows accumulated depreciation from the purchase date till the End of the Selected Period for the Fixed Asset.
End Balance
Fixed asset value at the end of the reporting period.
