Ability to break down BOM to ship components as they are (multiple carton fulfillment)

We have products that require 2 cartons to fulfill but there is no option to ship a SKU as 2 items.

BOM allows you to build the master SKU, but there is then no way to ship that SKU as the 2 cartons it requires.

Can we please have the ability to choose not to assemble a BOM and ship the required cartons as they are?

Example

LAMP1-A requires:

SHADE1-A

BASE1-A

Auto assemble builds the item for the invoice. The at the pick stage, any SKU's that have  BOM will have a breakdown button, allowing you to disassemble the BOM again and ship the components individually.
