Managing Products in Sales Channels

DEAR Inventory allows product management in your sales channels on a product's Details page, specifically under the Channels tab. Here, you can view the product's quantities in DEAR and, if applicable, in your sales channel stores, and see if a product is already listed in your sales channel store or not. In addition, you can list, unlist, or remove a product from a store, and update the product information as shown on a store. You must have set up your products first before you can post them to a sales channel.

Listing a Product in a Sales Channel Store

Once you have set up your products and locations, and integrated your DEAR account and mapped your locations with your sales channels, you can start listing your products on your sales channel stores.


To list a product in a sales channel store:

  1. Navigate to Inventory -> Products.
  2. Select the product you wish to list to the store.
  3. Click the Channels tab.
  4. Under the Actions column, click List. DEAR will then attempt to list the product to the sales channel store. 


NOTE: You will be kept informed of the listing status via email notification. When the product gets listed on the sales channel, the status of the product on the Channels tab is changed from Not Listed to Listed.


Pushing Updated Product Information to a Sales Channel Store

When you update information about a product in DEAR, you can push the updated information to the sales channel store where the product is listed, if applicable.


To update product information in a sales channel store:

  1. Navigate to Inventory -> Products.
  2. Select the product with the updated information from the list.
  3. Click the Channels tab.
  4. Under the Actions column, click Update. DEAR will then attempt to update the product's information on the sales channel store. You will be kept informed of the status via email notification.

Unlisting a Product from a Sales Channel

You may temporarily remove a product from a sales channel store in case its stock runs out. In this case, you can unlist the product. Unlisting keeps the product in the sales channel but does not display it in the store.


To unlist a product from a sales channel store:

  1. Navigate to Inventory -> Products.
  2. Select the product you wish to unlist from the store.
  3. Click the Channels tab.
  4. Under the Actions column, click Unlist. DEAR will then attempt to unlist the product from the sales channel store. You will be kept informed of the status of your action via email notification.

If you are no longer carrying a product in your inventory, you may permanently remove it from a sales channel store. Once removed, you have to list the product again following the procedure in Listing a Product on a Sales Channel Store.


To remove a product from a sales channel.

  1. Navigate to Inventory -> Products.
  2. Select the product you wish to remove from the store.
  3. Click the Channels tab.
  4. Under the Actions column, click Remove. DEAR will then attempt to remove the product to the sales channel store. You will be kept informed of the status of the action via email notification.
