sorting dates

Good morning, 

I was wondering for searching production orders we are able to search by more then the required by date.  For example when we put out the order we put the required by date the exact day of the week one month later so we can properly trace when things have been seeded.  However not ever month has a 31 day of the week which leaves us either putting the required date the 30, 1 or the next month that has a 31 date and in all seniros it will throw our daily reporting off on actuals/planned hours and how much product has been made.
