The Audit Report allows easy tracking of changes made within the system, including any updates made using the DEAR API. It is accessible from the DEAR Reports module.

Prerequisites:

On the Audit Report and the individual module levels, the activities that users can see in the reports are only limited by their access permissions. For example, administrators have full access to the Audit Report – they can see the details of all actions performed by authorised users. On the other hand, non-administrative users can only see activities in the modules/categories to which they have access.

Users must have the Can see User Audit Report permissions set for them to access the Audit report and activity logs. For more information on giving access permissions to DEAR users, see Managing Users and Roles.

The Audit Report displays the details of all actions performed by each user in DEAR, including all integration- and security-related changes made by authorised users to DEAR configuration settings. The Audit Report also shows when users have exported data from DEAR, such as exporting an inventory list or list of suppliers.

In cases of updates to any information contained within DEAR, the old and new values are reflected in the Audit Report.

By default, the activities in the Audit Report cover the last 30 days and are arranged chronologically from the latest to the oldest. To filter the report by a custom range of dates, select either a custom Start Date and End Date or a predefined reporting period from the top left of the page.

In addition, activities can be filtered according to a wide range of categories, e.g. Security, Sale, Purchase, Product, Product Family, Task Settings, Notifications, Users and Roles, and Reference Books, among others. To filter the report by category, select a category from the list.

Activities can also be filtered by user name. To filter the report by user name, select a user name from the list.

You can also search for any term in the report. To search for a term in the report, enter the term in the Search bar, then press Enter or click the Search button to the right.
