Adding New Locations, Outlets, and Registers

For businesses that are operating in multiple locations, setting up additional outlets will help you manage your inventory and track your sales effectively from every location. 


To run DEAR POS on multiple devices in the same store, you need to add as many registers to the outlet as there are devices you wish to use for POS.

One DEAR Outlet can be added per DEAR location. A Location must be added to DEAR Reference Books before it can be used to add a POS Outlet. If you have already added the location, skip to step 3 to add the outlet to it. 

  1. Navigate to Settings  Reference Books Stock Locations and Bins.
  2. Click + or Add more items, name the outlet location and click Save.
  1. Navigate to Integrations and select Point of Sale (DEAR).
  2. Navigate to the Outlets setup tab.
  3. Under the POS column, select the store.
  4. Under the Outlets column, click + New to create a new location.
  5. Fill in the outlet details and Save.

  1. Navigate to Integrations and then select Point of Sale (DEAR).
  2. Go to the Outlets setup tab. Select the outlet you wish to add the registry to
  3. Click + New in the Outlet Details column to add a register.
  4. Fill in all the required information and Save.
