Report for viewing the maximum quantity to be assembled instead of doing a dummy assembly

started a topic over 2 years ago

I know that one can calculate the maximum quantity that can be assembled by doing a dummy assembly.  It can also be done by having Auto-Assembly enabled and looking at the Inventory > Availability.

But the Availability report does not work if the product does not have Auto-Assembly enabled.  It would be very helpful to have a report which displays/calculates the maximum quantity that could be assembled instead of doing a dummy assembly.

Thanks!

  • A little more on this...

The BOM Component Details report comes close to providing the information needed since the maximum quantity that could be assembled can be derived from it, but the report does not give the already calculated value like what is shown for auto-assembly products on the Inventory > Availability page.

This report is important both so that users do not need to go through the whole process of drafting an assembly to calculate the maximum quantity and so that one can see the calculation for many products at once.

To be clear, this report would give the maximum quantity that could be assembled for both auto-assembled and *not* auto-assembled products.

    Thanks!
