Ability to choose custom field mappings for ShipStation

started a topic over 2 years ago

Hi Support,

We are trying to build automation rules in ShipStation wherein we can pick the value from a field on the Dear sale order and put that into the Custom field 3 in ShipStation and assign a Ship From location based on this value. For example, if the Custom Field 3 = 'Melbourne', we would set up an automation rule to make the Ship From location = Melbourne. (in ShipStation)

But, we cannot seem to find how the custom field 3 is mapped with Dear Systems Sale Order. We have analysed carefully and found out that custom field 1 = order reference # and custom field 2 = Sales Rep name.

Interestingly, for a Shopify store setup, ShipStation does provide us with a choice to map custom fields:

But it is not the case with Dear systems. Please check screenshots for reference:

This integration was built by Dear and we don't know which field can be used to send data to custom field 3. Please allow greater flexibility regarding this, thanks!

  • Some selling channels and marketplaces have special options available to them that are not present for other store connections.

Example of advanced parameters include (but are not limited to): Moto X3M is a free dirt bike racing game in which you must ride a cool motorcycle through a series of obstacles.

Custom Field Mappings: Some selling channels may send us data that ShipStation doesn't have a default place for, like a payment method or a fraud risk assessment.

Importing closed orders: Some selling channels, like Shopify, will send order information for orders that are already shipped or archived so ShipStation and the selling channel contain the same data for reporting purposes.

  • Custom Field Mappings: Some selling channels or marketplaces offer the flexibility to map custom fields from their platform to the corresponding fields in your order management system, like ShipStation. These custom fields may contain additional information specific to your business, such as a payment method, special notes, or any other data that ShipStation's default fields do not cover. This allows you to retain important details and streamline your order processing.

Importing Closed Orders: Certain selling channels, like Shopify or other e-commerce platforms, might allow the integration to send order information for orders that have already been shipped or archived. By importing closed orders into ShipStation, both platforms can synchronize their data, ensuring accurate reporting and providing a comprehensive view of your sales history.
