Dear automatic restock location based on the credit note/exchange location

Background: Our Dear user's are having trouble with manually entering the restock location when an item is refunded/exchanged at a different store (different to the store it was purchased at) due to their sales volume the accompanying returns.


Is it possible to add a feature whereby items exchanged/refunded will automatically be restocked at the store the return/exchange took place at, this could be a toggle within the Location's setup.

OR

Alternatively adding the "location" parameter to the credit note/refund/exchange location, would allow your users' to automate this themselves by using a service like Zapier.

    The requested is already applied for Shopify where the restock location will added separately. This also can be edited manually as well.


    Furthermore, we are releasing a feature to make DEAR POS support this as well. The DEAR POS exchange would automatically create a credit note in DEAR backend and process the return and with this new feature, it will also create a transfer order to restock the product back to the location of exchange. This release is due in one week.

    Does this also mean that the location parameter will be included in the credit note callback?

    The restock location parameter wont be included in the credit note, but the transfer order will be raised in the background in order to restock the old product to the correct outlet. In other words, the restock location will not update the sales that comes through POS, but instead a stock transfer will be created and availability will be updated.

  • Hi Dear Team,


    Currently, when a sale is returned at a different Dear POS outlet we still need to manually select the restock location on Dear Systems. Please advise when this could be automated.
