Sales: Order Authorisation Date

The system does not allow the users to report the date a Sales Quote is authorised as a Sales Order (or when an Order not quoted is Authorised).  The status for Order normally converts to Pick or Pack which is not useful.

The Order is a very important status of the sale process.

The key sales points are:

Quote - includes date

Order

Ship - includes date

Invoice - includes date

Any business measuring the backlog and sales team productivity needs to be able to report on the Order authorisation - it is the point in which the client gives authority to transact a sale.  This will also effect CRM reporting.

The Order authorisation date is recorded as it can be viewed in the Sales Order Activity Log.  It is a matter of allowing that field to be included in the reporting templates.
