Printing Picking Tickets via Receipt Printer

Hi All, 

Wondering if anyone has attempted to print picking tickets via receipt printers? feel like we are wasting a lot of paper and would like to look at do this via little slips.

If anyone has, which printer would be good... I'm on Mac OSX
