Co-Man as Shop Floor Location for Automatic Transfer Orders

started a topic 3 months ago

We have a multi-step production operation where we transfer materials to a co-man, who converts the product to a semi-finished good that then comes to our plant where it is consumed into a finished goods.  However, because the co-man cannot also be setup as a shop floor, the auto-transfer order feature will not work.

This request is to add that capability so the logistics path can be setup to auto generate the transfer order (when stock is available in the components location).

  • Hi Jeff,

In a Co-Man setup, the purchasing and transferring and set to automatic by default. Which setup of Co-Man are you referring to?

  • This is the co-man setup within locations.    The transfer is automatic but DEAR is using the wrong FROM location.  That FROM is setup in the logistics path, but I can't add the co-man to the path because it can't be set as a shop floor location.

  • HI Jeff,

Sorry, but could you please provide more clarification on this?

  • Sure.   The auto generated transfer order for this operation populates based on the logistic path setup (I believe so).  The goods are NOT housed in Jot Warehouse.  They are in a location called Bean Storage (indy).   I can't seem to setup a logistics path for the components.
