Add CustomerReference to Automation Module Notification email templates

Please, can we have CustomerReference added as a insertable field for Notification email body and subject for Sales notifications?
Customers recognise correspondence more easily by their own reference (their PO number) rather than our Sales Order number.
This is critical! Customers have no idea what our sales order number means and have to open the document to even find any reference.
