  • I second Jeff's concept — there is room for improvement in the B2B Settings Invitations page, enabling extra columns in the display would solve this, include columns for "Job Title", "Price Tier" and "Additional Attributes" would allow us to filter contacts in the manner that DEAR has taught us to in other areas.

Also, the "Date" field shows the date of the first invitation, not the latest invitation — changing this to "Days since last invitation" would help sort aged invitations.

A result after send would be useful too, it would indicate if the email address no longer exists (staff change, etc.) — a column for "Deliverable" yes/no would help us keep contacts up to date. DEAR might consider disabling the sending ability for an email address that wasn't deliverable.

  • Hello,

We're really happy we've discovered the B2B portal to allow our members to order during the COVID crisis, so that they don't have to come physically to our store.

We have 2 demands here that would allow us to better use the portal:

    1) Minimum to order field below 0 (ex.: 0.25 or 0.5)

    2) Ability to change the text of the buttons and and checkout instructions (to change in French)

More details below about the context:

    1) We sell bulk food and we need our members to order quantities below 0. (example: 0.5 or 0.25). One of the DEAR support team member told us that it was not possible for now and to write here. It seems like a simple thing to implement.

The impact it has it that we will have to duplicate the SKU's of our 300 products, and it will complicate the management of our price lists (we'll have to change our price for each product in 2 places)

Can you let us know if it's something that could be implemented quickly, and if not, what makes it complicated.

    2) We'd like to change the words that are displayed on the portal in French. The commerce laws in Québec (the province of Canada where we live) asks us to have everything displayed in French. If you allow us to change the text in our language, we will be more than happy to promote DEAR systems to other entreprises around here. Especially since we've discovered the B2B portal.

Many thanks for your support, and as I said, I'm very grateful for B2B portal platform that is allowing us to quickly create a transactional platform that is linked directly to our inventory system, without going through another layer of a third party software.

    Thanks,

    Pierre Robichaud

  • Customer requested document (PDF) attachment download option for products. The customer has a technical specification or 'Spec Sheet' that they associate to products and would like this to be available to customers to download from B2B from within the product page.

  • We would love there to be + and - buttons for product quantities on the collection pages. It makes for a much quicker shopping experience for our customers if they can quickly select the quantity and add to cart.

  •  I second Charlie's idea above,

However, I suggest a text field with default "Qty: 1" next to "Add to Cart" so users can enter quickly add higher quantities.

  • SURCHARGES FOR PORTAL PAYMENT METHODS   &   MORE PAYMENT METHODS

There is a sophisticated feature in the DEAR POS integration to manage surcharges by payment method — this is necessary for the B2B Portal also.

Currently, there is limited functionality in the Portal check-out — the payment method a customer selects only adds text to the Purchase Order, it doesn't integrate into other functions or trigger other tasks.

    As a wholesaler we use;

"Purchase Order" with the description "As per Payment Terms (existing account)"

"Cash on Delivery" with a cumbersome description "Credit Card pre-payment (incurs a 1.3% fee — we will call you)"

"Money Transfer" with the description "Direct Bank Transfer pre-payment"

We want to enable PayPal as a payment option, but the 2.9% + 30 cents PayPal transaction fees in Australia cannot currently be accounted for.

For those of you playing at home; we have recently found that the Portal Payment Method type "Credit Account" could better be described as "Customer Credit", aka Credit Notes etc and does not relate to payment by a customer's Credit Card.

  • B2B PORTAL THEME UPDATE - PLEASE REINSTATE FEATURES AND FINISH DEVELOPMENT

The recent theme/layout update to the B2B Portal has seen the removal of some important functionality, could you please address and/or reinstate the following:

    1. Desktop - "Horizontal Navigation Bar" (Header Menu): Please reinstate multiple rows, the scroll bar to access the rest of the menu is impractical and hides options off-screen. We use this menu for brands, and can only see the brands starting with A-G without scrolling.
    2. Desktop - "Vertical Navigation Bar" (Sidebar Menu): In the settings, it's not obvious that you can have any combination of Category, Tag and Brand shown at once, the drop-down menu looks like you have to choose one only. The "Disabled" option should be a separate toggle switch.
    3. Desktop - Logo: Please include the recommended image size in the settings. Please install appropriate padding (e.g.: 5 pixels) above and below the logo, it's currently hard against the lines the header
    4. Price tax suffix: Please include an editable field for "ex-GST" after the price, appropriate per region. In Aus, we are required by law to state if a price is exclusive of GST, and as a B2B, most prices are communicated ex-GST.
    5. SKU always displayed:  The SKU is always shown under Product Description in the Catalogue, this should be optional.
    6. Catalogue navigation header sticks: Navigating by selecting an option from the Horizontal Menu, a Brand name shows above the catalogue images and sticks there, even after you use the Vertical Menu to navigate elsewhere.
    7. Mobile - Menu "Burger icon": This burger/stack icon is ambiguous, please change this to read "Menu"
    8. Mobile - Search bar: **VITAL** The search bar is not available while navigating on a mobile platform, please reinstate this.
    9. Account menu icon: The "caret" icon for the dropdown account menu is ambiguous, please change this to "Hello [Customer Name] - Account Menu"
    10. Text colour for Coming Soon: Please include the colour selection option for the "Coming Soon" tag
    11. Text Colour in Shopping Bag: In the Shopping Bag, the "Add comments" text colour is un-editable. Please add this to the "Content link colour" assignment
    12. Headings in Shopping Bag: The term "Price" is used as the column headings, it should be "Unit Price" and the "Line Total"
    13. Shopping Bag page name: Please rename the page to "Shopping Cart", and the product count to "x items in Cart" as is in the URL, as is illustrated in the icon.
    14. Shopping Bag summary box: Please include a line for tax here, as on the Checkout page. Please include a currency symbol here, e.g.: $.
    15. Navigation to Checkout: It is not obvious that you have to click the shopping cart icon to move to the Shopping Bag and then to the Checkout to finalise the order... there needs to be text next to the shopping cart icon in the Header that says "Checkout"
    16. Quick View Heading: The Product Description heading in the Quick View heading is cut off with "...", this is not appropriate for important information like the product description. Please display the full description.

  • 17. Sorting by Price: The price sorting only sorts by full Tier price and does not sort by a discounted price. This should be corrected to sort by "final" list price, not "original" list price.
  •  It would be great to include the 'Product Barcode' and 'Brand' fields to the product page as an optional feature.

  • Can you please add the volume using the dimensions of the product. That way customer would know, if they are close to filling a container capacity. At the moment, the customer service team would have to call the client and ask, if they want to add/remove products from a order as its under/over filled a container load. Defeats the purpose of having the B2B as, the customer service team has to contact the customer to take the order anyways.

    Thanks

  • Here are some additional changes/add-ons that I would like:

    1. To be able to include the product attributes in the vertical menu (you can do this in the horizontal menu as a custom menu). On other e-commerce websites the vertical menu is used as a filter. So being able to choose specific attributes is key. Also being able to filter by price is useful too

    2. Adding live chat. We use Hubspot live chat on our website, and would like to include this on the portal too. I just need to put some source code into the footer of the site - should be easy.

    3. In Dear you can attribute alternative products to specific products. It would be good if the portal showed these alternative products too.

    Thanks

  • Hello Dear,

Please can someone update us on some of the points raised here.

The first two points from my post 8 days ago are very important.

    Thanks

  • Please can you also add restricted access to the content pages in the B2B portal (have it as an option).

It would be good to have some pages that only members can view/access.

    Thanks
