Automatically apply customer discounts

started a topic almost 8 years ago

We have set-up customer specific discounts for certain products. The problem is that the user needs to press the Apply Discounts button on every order and sometimes they forget which creates huge problems with the customers. There should be an option to automatically apply any discounts.

  • This feature is urgently needed. Please provide this functionality.

  • Agreed it would seem to be a "no brainer" to automatically apply customer discounts.

However, a better solution might be to have an entry in Settings called "Automatically apply customer discounts" then a checkbox for a enabled or disabled response..

  • Greg Kelly's suggestion above would answer the issue very nicely.

Come on Support! This cannot be a difficult feature to implement.

  • Agree with Greg and others

Would appreciate a checkbox so we have option to enable/disable automatically applying discounts on orders

  • Hi, thanks for implementing this feature! However there is a problem with the way it works as it does not allow us to enter any manual discounts or price changes when entering an order. This is an issue because we often send out samples where we discount the price 100%. This is not a standard discount that needs to be set-up for the customer but a one-off so we should be able to still discount a specific line whilst the system automatically applies any automatic discounts to the sale.

  • I agree with Stef: The setting to enable applying 'system' discounts automatically should not be tied with the ability to apply manual and one off discounts on a per SO basis. @Dear can you just have a seperate setting for allowing manual discounts? Or just allow the user permission settings to take care of this?
