Attachments to customers

It would be great to be able to attach documents to a customer.  The obvious items to attach are credit applications, contracts ect

  • I  agree. It would be really nice. For examples, the map to the customer office, picture profile so you can remember what he/she looks like.

    As well as terms and conditions and credit account applications that we may want to send to new customers, we also have to send product technical data sheets and material safety data sheets to customers. These are attachments saved under the product details; it would be great if we had the option to add that information to a Quote or Order Confirmation (i.e. select from the attachments associated with each of the individual product lines on an order).

  • Also voting for this feature. In addition to attachments, it would be important to have an activity log. else how do you ensure appropriate segregation of duties that would allow the Sales team to update contact information while restricting credit limit and terms to be edited by Finance only, with an activity log there would at least be an adequate audit trail which would act as a compensating control. Attachments (and as a bonus call/meeting and e-mail log) would even further enhance the application.

  • YES please, this is a MUST. Often need to add contracts, credit applications, written quotes etc to a customer profile.

  • We use the CapsuleCRM Integration with Dear to handle this sort of issue. Might be worth checking out.

  • Dan. Great suggestion. We've experimented with the Capsule Dear integration. We invoice directly in Dear and Capsule does not have this functionality. Therefore most of my team just ignores Capsule and the information never gets to them.  Plus its an additional CRM monthly fee.

  • We migrated to Dear for among other things it functionality in tracking goods in and out the functionality that this brings to our food safety program.  If we were able to upload supplier and customer records to Dear, we would then have a complete one system package for our food safety program.

  • Awesome to hear Richard. We have a fairly complex approval process for vendors and customers all involving several documents. Licenses, applications, etc. if we keep this in front of the Dear dev team we might just get our wish! As I’ve said in previous threads, if they can have this functionality for EVERY sales order than certainly adding it to the customer/vendor fields would be a cinch. Dear we would love you if you made this happen!!
